Well the exercise and carb counting really worked a treat yesterday (NOT ) 7.8  well today's another day as they say

I'm not chuffed to anything, unfortunately... :( 6.8 this morning... it's getting worse... My HbA1c (can't we find a better name for it - it hardly trips of the tongue ) will not be 39 next time I fear... I told my doc that I was spiking in the morning, and he said it wouldn't affect my average? Hah! I didn't know what spiking was... 5's in those days :) I did jump out of bed at 4.45 in fright when my cats started fighting in the bedroom though... :cat:
:cat::cat::cat: Not all four at once - only two, but it was enough to set my heart hammering... :)
Hola susikav

I've been reading your predictions about your bloods creeping up and hope you get to the bottom of it. Got a bit of a shocker to report, which I'll get on to in a mo.

Yes - def need a name of the hba1sees.

@loulou99782 these are the sugarfree digestive. I think someone said Morrison's sell them. Don't know how much as I bought a cheap batch, now sold out.
Hi Sable Jan,
Whilst they say sugar free they are still very high in Carbs. According to the packet 66.7 per 100gs and 8.7 per biscuit. If I ate 3 biscuits that's half my carb allowance for the day!!!

Got it wrong by 1!!!! Just rung the surgery and been told the HbA1c result is 39. Cholesterol is at 3.1. Surprisingly the GP doesn't feel the need to see me to review my medication.
Wow that's an amazing result... you should feel really happy that all your hard work has paid off.

I could certainly try the glass of red wine but the walk with a 'woofer' is not possible ! Anyway, something worked this morning as I had the same reading as I had last night (both 5.9).
Yes we are having a role reversal. Congratulations on the numbers. Shocker for me this am!

4.8 on this blustery wet morning, DN appointment this morning only the 2nd one since diagnosis and the first one was a differing opinion about diet, we shall see what she thinks about HB on diagnosis 12.5 and now 4.8 and see if she can still disagree with me on diet.

Speak later people keep safe
Good luck with that then!! :) Keep us informed of the results.. can't wait...

Morning all

7.2 whoooooops. It is entirely weefergus fault - curse of the commentator!

Anyhow sacrificed a goat and looking through the entrails. Like susikav have had a feeling that something might be brewing. Not great sleep over last 4 night and a bit bunged (nasally) recently, very bunged this mornin. Looked back to the last fasting 7's and was lack of sleep and a cold.

Right - off to get gloved up and get this mama down!

Ding ding.

:D Me neither... tomorrow is another day indeed... Maybe I've been eating too much protein because it's the easiest way to eat on the run... :)

Ahhh, but Sable can eat spelt toast too... a thin slice with her butter... :) as can Brunneria... they've been at this a long time maybe... :) Maybe we'll be able to eat them one day.... :( OOPS... Biscuits and spelt bread, not Sable and Brunneria... :)

The ****** took some of my roof slates off
I look out my window and a mile away I see the tops of the mountains I'm part way up ... not big mountains but mountains none the less.
I look out the back window and I can see a line of mountains .... bigger ones .... twenty miles away.
Twenty miles of open space between me and them and that's where the wind was blowing from.
I'm very surprised to wake up to find the power still on.
Scottish Power must have gotten something right at last because we haven't had a power cut since last February (2014) .... that has to be a record round here.

Snap, off to see my DN for first annual review... my bloods were not a fasting... so going to be interesting to see what the Lipids are like..
Good luck to you.
Hj
And the same for you, back from DN nothing of note to mention the only difference of opinion was about testing, I mentioned testing 4/6 times a day she advised only once per day since she wouldn't prescribe strips for the amount I was using, I told her I paid for my own strips at which point she said once a day was enough and changed the subject.

No mention of what I was doing to get the HB result just asked about current weight and suggested going down to 1 x Metformin tab per day, when I advised her I had already decreased to one she told me to be careful because BG could rise.

I didn't bother to go back to the question of regular testing.

Oh well year one nearly out of the way, so far so good, keep up the fight everyone.
