4.5 fasting today
Did a 7 mile walk yesterday and results have showed up. Going for 4 miles now. I saw the documentary about fats last night, found it really interesting. Going to try the short burst high intensity today for 2 mins for 20 mins.

4.6 after some non carb vodka and diet coke yesterday evening and chippie fish and a few chips, happy with that, let the weekend commence.
You're living on the edge!
Have to admit I did yesterday.
Part of my eating yesterday was a large bag of mini popadums.
A 75g bag ... thoroughly enjoyed them and .... a mini Mars bar and Weetabix for breakfast .... a bnig no no for me so I was expecting trouble this morning.
Last thing before bed I ate some peppered Mackerel in sunflower oil .... I drank the oil that I would normally drain off .... might have saved my numbers this morning I'm thinking.
No just remembered ... the Weetabix were my dinner!

Hola brettsza

If you walk with your phone then you can download a simple heart rate app (tested non invasively on finger). They will prob have a hr zone for you to look at as well. But in general do 220 minus your age to get your max heart rate. At 60% of max you are burning fat and at 80% you are burning carbs by the bucket loads. What's not to like?

That's interesting, I am using samsung so I do get heart rate and as per your calculations I am about 80 percent so not very unhappy about it but wouldn't do a lot as I had 4.5 and dint eat anything so don't want to overdo it.

5.8 fasting after 5.7 bedtime
Decided to have my indulgence of a hot cross bun with butter at breakfast as I'm going to be around to test at one and two hours as I don't start work until 2 pm, wouldn't have had chance if I'd had it at lunch. So, my first bread since June .... It was ok, can't say I drooled though!

Hola

I use a Samsung too
Have to rush out the door now but will fill n the details later about how you exercise to a particular goal say fat burning rather than carb burning. Takes a bit of getting used to and you may have to slow down initially but in the the long run well worth it.

6.3 this Morning.6.3 last night. Have a wonderful Easter everyone. Share a smile. It might make the sun shine.

The holiday traffic is back.
Cars pouring into North Wales yesterday and last night especially on the A55 Express way .... luckily I was travelling on the quiet side ten oclock last night.
A lot of snacking yesterday and not one decent meal so was expecting a bad one this morning but feel great and I got a

5.4 ..... I'm happy with that.
Sometimes snacking can help as you are keeping your bs steadier through the day by the use of small regular portions.

Morning all

Big bounce in the wrong direction. Up to 6.6 and blood ketones a misery 0.3. Curse of the commentator is back obviously. Weather - after yesterday's sterling efforts - grey wet drizzle expected to last pretty much all day. But then again it's a British bank holiday weekend so what was I expecting!

Right now that's out of the way....

The bulletproof coffee is kicking in nicely, looking forward to a big juicy omelette, Folkestone 10 mile race at 11am and there's a nice light southerly wind (if it's easterly or westerly and strong the run to Folkestone or back is really hard work). Oh and new avatar.

Game on!
All the best with the run. Preston weather just the same as yours....

6.2.... Ibuprofen, bad sleep, late snacks? Following the latter to I'm not.normally so high. Others have mentioned the ibuprofen effect so I'll go with that.

8.0 mmol / L this morning - well, nearly elevenses!
Was 5.4 mmol / L at bedtime.
Think I tested past liver dump time today. Also, I didn't ingest anything at bedtime so those two things may explain the disappointing reading this morning?
