Just thought you might find the above useful. The light version of Coffee Mate has even more carbs (over 5g.) It's called "light" because it has less fat. But as you probably now know, us diabetics have to look hard at our carb intake & not just sugars (including fructose, lactose etc.) Thats because carbohydrates are broken down into glucose by the body. Too many carbs for a diabetic will likely spike your blood sugar giving you high readings when testing. I'm sure
@daisy1 will have sent you the new members welcome/information pack which has all the basics you need to start understanding your diabetes & how to manage it. It can all be very bewildering for newly diagnosed members, I know. But believe me when I say that you WILL become better at managing your disease. It takes a bit of time to assimilate all the new information & find out what works for you. I scoffed when someone said that to me when I first became a member on here. Yet I'm living proof that it's true. Educating yourself is the key. I've found the forum members to be very helpful, knowledgeable & supportive. I couldn't have moved forward without the people on here to be honest. Oh, and don't be afraid to ask questions, even if you think they're a bit naff. No-one will make you feel dumb. Good luck & best wishes.
