2014/15 Football Season

One for Nosher :D

Yeah, famous day for our club. Boxing day.
Main goalscorer that day was a chap called "Bunny" Bell. A legend in Rovers colours. He scored (I think) 9 goals that day.
If I remember my history and my brain is working, they played the reverse fixture on Christmas day, the day before, when he scored a hat trick. In a 4-4 draw.
There is a supporters suite dedicated to him, his photo and ball and boots are in a presentation case.

Thankfully I fell asleep at half time!

Wish I had watched the play off game

Wenger Out - its Arsenal FC not Arsene FC

Nice to see Real Madrid out :)

Can't see Juve turning over Barca

suspect its a decision due to the games result not having any real impact anyway!

Still not right though I agree

Thats what I'd assumed. If both teams weren't already guaranteed mid table obscurity they probably would have made a different decision.

Think Blackpool were already relegated

Yea relegated by just the odd 13/14 points by then

result was one of their better performances of the season it seems

Of course they were, sorry. But the result going either way wouldn't have made a jot of difference.

Having said that, I think that had it been Millwall who couldn't complete a fixture due to fans demonstrating on the pitch the outcome would have been much different.

We are more bothered that it sends the message out to fans that its ok to storm the pitch. Really they should be hammering home the message that if fans storm the pitch it wont be acceptable and the club will get severely punished. As it is they have yet to decide the punishment for Blackpool it may well turn out that they deduct points from them at start of next season and also serve a big fine on them.Plus reinburse all the travelling Huddersfield fans

Going to West Ham v Everton tomorrow. Last home game of the season. Not excited at the prospect. Really bored by Hammers at the moment. Too many draws and mid table safety. Just got my invite to make an appointment to choose my new stadium seat. :bored:

Hope your new stadium has a better atmosphere than our soulless bowl

It's the crowd, not the surroundings, that make the atmosphere :D ...or such is my impression:

It's also about relativity: St Mary's and the Madjeski stadium are basically the same design, I believe, but after enduring years of the squalor that was the Dell, it's always been a bit special to go to a nice, sparkling new stadium and listen to the Saints fans serenading their opponents, even in the bad old days of Division 1. Not sure what it's like at the Madjeski because the only time I've been there was to attend a conference held at the hotel tacked on to it.

Which says it all, really.

Wasn't your last ground called the library, because of the lack of atmosphere?

I've been to most of the league grounds around the country and the ones that have a good atmosphere is because of the size of the away following.
My own teams supporters are brilliant away and never shut up. But at home we are relatively quiet.

I agree with John about the Blackpool-Huddersfield game. Blackpool should have been severely fined and points deducted and also the cost of tickets/travelling for the terriers fans.
It's bad enough to go to a game and not see a full game, it's happened to me in the past. With the weather, in this country you can't predict what it will be, but it's a pain at the lower levels.

There are quite lot of grounds, the same type of new ground that are basically the same, breeze block hell!
The seating, stewarding, police, and toilets and refreshments, we are still in the eighties!
The cost of supporting your team has shot up astronomically.

Pick a good un! Not too low, not too high.
Fancy Everton to give you a hiding tomorrow. It might be big fat Sam's last home game, it is doing the round that he is coming back up north!
Arsenal v utd, draw!
Steven Gerrard to score a penalty on Sunday! Totally ****** at Sky sports news, nothing else but ggggrrrr! him on the telly. There are quite a few footballers moving on at the end of the season, are they given this much air time?

Boro to seal a Wembley trip tonight. But who will they play? Fancy Norwich myself! But I would like to see Ipswich there! I know sitting on the fence!

I want a seat with no danger of the sun shining in my eyes (gives me migraine - or is that the quality of the football??? :banghead:) + well undercover.

I wouldn't be surprised if Everton won or if it's Big Sam's last home game. :meh:

My team have pillows distributed before kick off! That's how bad we've been!
If it gets any worse, they are typically thinking of issuing duvets!

Boro through to Wembley nice game too. Brentford werent even there :D
Wonder who's gunna join em Ipswich or Norwich. Findout tomorrow
Penultimate matches of the Prem today should be decided on who else goes down. If Hull don't win then its bye bye for them.
