6.3 this morning. I think I may have cracked it! Last 3 days have been 6.6, 6.8 and lower still this morning. Am working towards getting under 6 now.

Good morning. I've not contributed to this before as I've been too embarassed, but I got a 6.8 this morning, my lowest for about 3 years. The day I started on insulin in March it was 14.5. I had decent numbers all day yesterday and had a good carb day and did my best session of exercise for a while at around 7pm, so I'm hoping I've got to a regime that might work for me. Get my annual bloods done tomorrow, so will be interesting to see what has changed.

Just wish I felt better, I feel far worse than I did when my numbers were atrocious - it's taking longer to adjust than I was expecting.

Good luck for tomorrow.

Thanks Izzie. I won't get the results for a little while as my preferred DN only works 2 days, so not many appointments available.

It was 6.2 for the third day in a row, last night 5.6 before bed. I've come to the conclusion that 6 +-0.5 is best that I can achieve with carb control. Hopefully, my muscle and liver cells will become more insuline-sensitive as I lose weight (ongoing) and increase (start to!) exercise.
Sounds like a good plan. Good stuff

Good morning all. I had a disappointing 7.0 this morning after a 5.9 bedtime reading. I've no idea where that 7.0 came from - I even remembered my 100ml red wine medication last night. I re-tested, but the second test was also 7.0. My highest reading all day yesterday was 7.2 so it's a bit of a mystery. However, today is another day and I'll be extra careful.

It does take a bit of work but when you have some signs of progress it really helps.... onwards and downwards!

5.3 am, pre 4.6 and post 6.6.... had a lot of haddock, broccoli and sauerkraut.... so an evening walk was arranged.... waddle... waddle... cool out.
