Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Just checked bs 2 hours after breahfast 19.4 feel bloody rough what can i do to get it down ?

Lots of liquid and some gentle exercise and keep an eye on it over the next couple of hours because it could be an AnE job.
 
What did you have for breakfast?
 
8.1. Oh dear up from 6.9 last night. Am away with work and didn't get to the gym last night (3 minutes sprinting on cross trainer seems to drop my bs 3-4. Points. Mad.)
 
5.0 fasting
First figure of 5 in about 2 or more months.
May be it's due to steroid cream I am using on my hands but can't avoid it.
 
6.5 this morning after 7.2 yesterday so heading in the right direction once again. Quite high 7.5 before bed yesterday but had a well controlled day diet-wise with over an hour's walking (8500 steps counted). Was actually very tired yesterday and the walk wasn't as enjoyable as it usually so went to bed early. More optimistic about today!

6.4 a little higher than normal for me, but understandable after my dinner last night which contained more carbs than normal.

Fasting 5.1 breakfast was 1 shreadded wheat with skimmed milk.
Shredded wheat has quite a high GI so will be absorbed quickly and skimmed milk has more carbs than full fat milk but even so that's a massive rise for not a ridiculously massive number of carbs (probably about 20g). As has been said, gentle exercise, plenty of water and keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any higher.
I would also try something different for breakfast next time!
 
5.0 this am. Although yesterday my Dr rang and said I had 2 more blood test results. One was a gad and it showed positive, but didn't have a figure and another he said showed negative but he didn't say which that was . One would suggest I'm possibly type 1 but the other says not?confused..yes I have to go have further tests now.. so maybe I'm not type 2 ?? Does that mean I can't post here on a morning?

Well, shredded wheat (or any cereal, frankly) is on my banned list. But that is a very sharp rise even for that - have you missed out anything else (drinks?). I would suggest drink lost of water and do some exercise to work the extra glucose off.
 
5.1 am, pre 5.2 and post 6.1, gammon, mushrooms, cabbage and loads of sauerkraut!
Bit grey and miz out in EC Scotland this morning, least it is not raining....
