for some reason the last few nights I have been woken up by pains in my lower legs , it runs down the side of the leg but feels like the start of cramp but it feels like it's in the bone not the muscles , I'm t2 and on metformin wonderd if anyone else suffers from this or is it a trip to the doctors again ?

Thanks for the quick replyAs it's a bit warmer, are you drinking enough?
It's probably something very simple, but irrespective of that, I'd get myself checked out by the Doc; especially if you are taking Metformin. Lacto acidosis is a pretty rare side-effect, and can manifest itself as cramps (amongst other things). Better safe than sorry.
Good luck with it.
Thanks for the quick reply
Thanks again , a bit concerned I've suffered cramps in my legs for years but never down the sides of my legs and it never developes into full blown cramp if that makes sense?I hope I haven't alarmed you.
I've just edited my post as I had mis-spelled the thing! Helpful, or what? Doh!
Couldn't get through yesterday wife's trying again today , we go on holiday end of next week so perhaps I can get it sorted by then drinking more water as suggested
God that sounds painful, mine is nothing like that I hope it never is , thanks for your reply glad your feeling betterMy veins were on fire across my whole body (like they were being burned). The only thing I found helped was getting the heart going which would use up the lactic acid but then it would just come back again with a venegence. Stopping met worked for me almost overnight. I was left with the burning in my toes for a few days. Was left with a needle sticking in the end sensation of my big toes which remains even today so I expect I managed to do some damage with that "safe drug" (or maybe that was the high bg levels and I did it to myself over the years - it is what it is - I was unknowlingly a fool and now I just know I am a fool)
Thanks for asking @AndBreathe
He thinks it is just cramp bought on with the hot weather, drink more and use a fan in the bedroom to keep cooler !!??!
Thank you for your advice I feel better now I know what it isExcellent. Keep an eye on it though.
I didn't want to scare you, but I recall Andrew having a rough time, which could have got serious, hence my encouragement to talk to your Doc sooner than later.
