Will journalists ever learn

The only way to change the media's blinkered visionary outlook and the articles is to ask us. Ask some type 1's, and type 2's as well................... simples, no !!

I was so mad I just had to comment. Sick of being asked whether my diabetes is because of my diet, you wouldn't ask a toddler that would you? I feel so sorry for type 2s who have just been unlucky with their diagnosis and have to deal with that all the time.

I have never trusted the "mainstream media", not bought or read a newspaper for decades or watch sanitized 24 hour news channels that carry all the same stuff from AP, Reuters etc. It's all ill informed, biased and political brainwashing. The term journalist is a misnomer.

I find it amusing that the lady doing the "healthy" low fat cooking demonstration video does not look particularly healthy. I am not into body shaming, but if you are going to tell me what healthy food is, you sure as heck better be in better shape and healthier than I am!

Outwardly Looking I am the leanest, no fat person... I hate being lectured by obese nurses, obese GPs that 50% carbs are to be ate at every meal....if they really cared they would ask why I look fit and lean and active.. They would educate themselves and ponder why they are fat and I'm not...

If I could eat bread, pasta, rice etc I would do it for 3 months just to prove the weight gain that happens. Unfortunately my stomach blocks up so I can't.

I would so love to have 3 months of wating 50% carbs just to show my GPs and DSN's their stupidity...

One of the nurses I saw for one of my blood test was actually interested in the fact that i was low carbing, she too was overweight and admitted she had problems with diets.
