Here comes Summer let's stay active.

This week was diagnosed with prostate cancer - another bundle of laughs to contend with!

My wife and I went to Newgale beach for a walk of about 40 minutes, which was just enough for me. I shall try to do more walking, whether I feel like it or not. I have to keep active I believe, or the hormone therapy tablets, I've just started taking, may stop me in my tracks.

So after supper, I gave my wife the car keys and let's go!

Frank.

I know you've probably been told loads of things, but there was a story on This Morning (Phillip Schofield TV Show on ITV) about a person who beat prostate cancer by eating broccoli, I don't know the ins and outs as I didn't see it personally, just heard about it. You could probably watch it on ITV Player though if you were interested.

Sanguine , hope your foots better soon, you are right to rest it .
Thanks Jamrox - Mrs S is a chiropodist so she keeps me padded up :)

Walked for an hour with my daughter , she walks really slow . Lovely evening

Just walked around Braehead shopping centre today . Did go up and down the stairs

I go for 30 min walk at lunchtime, about 3400 steps according to my bit kit..
and for the last couple of days I've loaded my backpack with some weights, 9.5kg today, and it's been surprisingly okay and no reaction....... yet.
Needing to push myself a bit me thinks.

Ooh I haven't been very active recently but recommenced stepping in front of EastEnders this evening.

I haven't been logging "just" walking as it's become much easier to do (it was quite hard only a couple of months ago!). Yesterday, I did a 10 minute High Intensity Interval Training with a 12 kg kettlebel - felt easy in the first round, but by the 15th, ouch! Happy to report that my before bed BG reading was lowest since I started measuring, and my FBG this morning was lower than usual. Plan is to do similar HIIT workouts at home twice a week.

I have a theory that if people do this during a half hour programme then the world will be a fitter place.

That's great , keep it up , being active helps me to control my BS

Did the usual 10 miles on the bike, 50 situps, 1 hr weights

You put me to shame

I walked around Ayr high street yesterday, up and down the street , in and out the shops .
It was amazing how many round Phil Mitchell look alikes there were in various brightly coloured 3/4 length shorts and matching tops .... Not very flattering

Ta, but your our inspiration jamrox, i'm beginning to enjoy my exercise routine now,my friends and work mates are all noticing the difference in me, but still a way to go 'til i get to my goal of 12st 8 lbs......i'm 13st 3 lbs now

Did 8 hours of gardening yesterday including removing turf that was baked into concrete. Some very interesting aching muscles today!

Hi I'm off on holiday for 3 weeks , promise I'll keep active

Half an hour of stepping for the past 3 days. Stepping getting easier but EastEnders isn't getting any less depressing!!
Have a great holiday Jamrox :D
