When people say 'Pacific' instead of 'Specific' :-)
Hi, does anyone know of a 15g quick acting hypo treatment option which is 'clean' ie: no gluten, wheat, dairy etc? I'm struggling to think outside the x3 jelly baby box!

Hi,

Would Lucozade, or the old white stuff do the job... ;)

Or good old fashioned Dextrosol tablets, which also don't contain any of the above!

Be very careful some JB's have gluten in them.
I use fruit pastels when out and about if needed, love the tangtastic sweets (Haribo) and as Tim say's glucose tabs.

Thanks to advice here I have sugar cubes.

Bottles of Glucojuice - really really fast acting

Little sachets of sugar, like you sometimes see in cafes?

you have to love the jelly babies though ;)

They contributed to my stomach slowing down..... In my case all jellys, gelatine etc is off the list.

Love the butter tablet that I made from recipe on here but the sugar cubes are very good.. Easy to carry. Looked up glucojuice, they still have E numbers in and for me although the numbers are low I will not risk it...

For being a 'clean' tasty hypo stopper nothing really beats pure sugar.

I did also get some powder glucose from Boots to add to water for the gym.. But not needed it as levels stay so constant.

Funnily enough I found these today in sainsburys. 4 flavours and they are yummy!

Fully hydrogenated vegetable fat, anti caking agent etc? Not exactly "clean"

OP asked for gluten free. So I posted. That's why I added ingredients, if you don't like it you don't have to buy it! Just trying to help!

I am gf too, and I am trying to eat clean, the trouble was always hypos that set me back as I would have to drink coke etc. however, I am aware that you can drink 200ml Orange juice when low so that's as clean as you can go for low blood sugar quick carbs

200ml? Gosh, I'd go sky high - I only take 100ml.

I have GlucoTabs or GlucoJuice. Both (especially the juice) act extremely predictably and quickly, so it helps avoid over-treating. They are also conveniently packed to carry around and taste good!
