Last night I was in Camden at the office of the DUK team, where a talk on a the trails being held at the moment for a vaccine for diabetes....

I just wanted to say thank to to t he team for a good evening of information and knowledge by your guest speaker Dr Lui.

From this I want to just say to you all on here .....
Please please if you can take part in any trial that fits you and you life..
Then please do...with out the people who take part ....with out the number being there ...these people would not get funding to look in to matters that we all live with each day...
They need more people to help them with research !!!!!
Go to you gp ...ask them about an studies that they can be put forward for...
Speak to your DNS or consultant....

If you can please do.....your help could be the key to progression that may help the fight with diabetes.........the more they get the better the understand

Thanks

Get of soap box now eh lol

Yes without people making themselves available for trials there can be no progress. There have been a few trials in New Zealand recently but I found I didn't qualify as I'm no longer on meds but if one comes up that I am eligible for I will volunteer.

There are lots of trials...not all for equipment etc..I donate blood each year for trials.... And just have a overall report and investigation reference my health...this is ongoing for 10 years or longer.

Totally agree if you can do anything to help regarding research or trials it is worth it.

Not all if it is paid with numerous in hospital stays and follow ups. Some are just giving nlood so that drug companies can use it for testing... It's frozen on taking it and when drug companies call for a T1 blood.. Off mine goes!!
