I don't understand

It was my fasting test first thing. I just haven't managed to get it down any lower apart from one 5.4 :( Weight loss is stagnant too - just 13 lbs in 3 months. I'll test again and see what I get now.
Edit: 6.9
I think you are doing great and a weight loss of 'just 13lb' is almost a stone if you average that out over 12 weeks that's around 3lb a week don't be so hard on yourself. I would be happy with a loss of anything. :)

Please don't be disheartened. You are doing very well, honestly.

There are 2 reasons why we test.

One is to keep an eye over general levels, ie fasting and bedtime, maybe before evening meal. This is mainly for those who have previously tested their food and are generally happy with what they are eating.

The other is to test food ie testing before and after. This way you will learn how to improve your diet.

or you could do both. I do.

Thank you x With regard to testing I admire your dedication and I'm sure you have achieved your admirable results as a result of putting in the time and effort to find out what foods suit you and what don't. I just don't have the time, the test strips or the inclination to devote so much to it. I have followed the LC/HF guidelines to the letter and if there are foods on there that I don't tolerate well then I guess my next blood test will show that I need to have a rethink.

I totally agree with Poohtigger, don't be disheartened I think you are doing really well and almost a stone gone already ... wow.

Thank you x I appreciate your comments.

Thank you too x I know many people on here know far more than I do about it but I'm still learning and obviously still have a lot to learn but it is a steep learning curve and hopefully I'm getting there. Time will tell.

Next time your in a supermarket go to the lard counter and count 26 blocks of lard and look at it! That massive pile is how much weight you have lost so far. Seeing visually will confirm just how well you are doing!

:D Yes I suppose it would be surprising seeing it all in a lump like that. I just wish it had come off my belly/midriff area but I guess that will be the hardest to shift.
