I have continued this thread here rather than the old one in January as people are thinking it just happenedl
Well today we had some unexpected news
The police procecuted the driver who hit J back in January he has been given a 12 months suspended sentence a 6 month driving ban and ordered to pay compensation. Not what we had hoped for considering J's injuries and the fact he almost didn't survive but justice all the same considering they said it would never get to the courts. J has recovered well and will start nursery next week. So thank you again to all the lovely people who kept me going with messages and good wishes back in that dark time in January Bless you all

I was one of the folk that just caught this thread and it broke my heart really.............a grown man welling up [I have a 6 and 3 year old].....

so glad he has recovered............

would be good to see a nursery pic next week.....

I didn't see your original thread as didn't have need for this site until April, but sounds like you've had an awful year. I can't imagine how frightening it must have been for you. Glad that J has recovered and has started nursery. I have a little boy who will be 2 on Friday who loves nursery!

So pleased and glad that J has recovered and is starting nursery next week. A six month driving ban is nothing really considering what J and your family went through, should of been longer but it's better then nothing

Thank you my great grandson 2 was hit by a speeding, out of control car in January, he suffered serious head injuries and it was touch & go for a while now all is well thanks
