I am contemplating purchasing but have a couple of questions: Does it work? Is it Intrusive (e.g. is it OK going to the gym, running etc)? Is there any way of buying the sensors in bulk, £59 a fortnight seems steep. Thank you.

It works mostly, it is not particularly intrusive and no you can't. There's a massive thread here discussing it:

And most importantly, there is a huge backlog of people on the waiting list because Abbott massively underestimated demand. It's taking upwards of three months from registering to getting to purchase one.
