Hi everyone,

I am new to forum, so please point
out if I do anything wrong

I am now on my own and was wondering
if there is such a thing as a 5 minute meal
guide? As I`m not much of a cook

I am a Type 2 on insulin

Thank you in advance for any help

Neil

Welcome, Neil :)

Five minutes is pushing it, but I'm sure members have ideas for quick and easy meals. What kind of foods do you eat currently?

Hi azure,

Most things really, just as long as there is
not alot of prep involved

It would be great if you could get prepared
food like they do with ready meals

I am sure the more I get into it the more
confident I`ii become, he says hopefully

Thanks again

No problem, Neil :)

Salads are quick and easy and you can accompany them with fish or meat and whatever carbs you prefer. I also like to cook 'one pot' meals that will do more than one serving, so I can have the same the next day and/or freeze some portions.

Check out the food and recipe sections further down the forum list and see what appeals. I also find browsing on Amazon good for recipe books as you can often 'look inside' and see if they look difficult. Of course, you can do the same by visiting a bookshop!

Another thing I do when I make a new recipe is make it again quite soon. That way it sticks in my mind better and becomes part of my repertoire ( such as it is!)
