Has anyone ever suffered a faint or collapse when having a reaction?

I have twice had near faints in a restaurant both times with paramedics called.

All they could find was postular hypotension....

I have just looked this up and I have had it, I still do occasionally but I don't faint.
I have asked my doctor and he tried an experiment with a BP monitor on my arm, but it didn't really get conclusive results. I accepted his diagnosis, a drop of blood pressure as the result of me bending over. Also quick movement of my head!
But I now put it down to RH, as the symptoms have almost nearly all gone. Just occasionally, I bend down and up in my work and I rarely get it!
Just wonder if blood glucose control has a bearing on it or is it just another symptom of RH?

I think possibly it is shock related. In that the body has the spike and the speed of the drop is significant. It's only a hunch but it seems sensible to me that it could be what causes it.

If I remember, my doctor said it was quite common to get the drop in blood pressure that causes it!

You will have to practice not getting up quickly!!!!!!

Yes I was told by my doc to lie down after meals! Tbh though since eating more regularly and halting the highs I don't have the same dizzy spells or skinny rooms x

Spoke to a lady at work yesterday who has a condition where if she eats anything such as a large meal she loses her speech can't walk and her blood pressure drops. Fascinating. No problem with her blood sugar though and they put it down to her autonomic nervous system? She has to eat regular small meals to cope. X

I've had a few blackouts lately, get that cold tingling feeling all over, and almost pass out but not actually had a full faint... yet. Very scary!

I'm doing ok thanks Brun. Trying to hold on to the fact that this is blood sugar related and hoping the Hughes thing is a red herring that I just happen to have found out about and won't be too bad.

I am seeing the specialist next Wednesday so I have everything crossed.

I have some of the symptoms for Hughes but they could be attributed so easily to hypoglycaemia and hypothyroidism, low adrenal reserve.

I am happy to say I carried two healthy babies and I don't suffer with continuous headaches so I am hoping hoping hoping.

I am having trouble with my tummy in the morning. Feel like I have indigestion when I wake up. No pain but a constant need to burp (sorry) and it's not ladylike at all!! Don't know what that could be but I suspect i may need some sort of digestive enzyme.

Let's hope for a Christmas present from the specialist )) xxx
