To lentil or not to lentil pt2

I cooked the chorizo first then took it out and places it to one side. I then added the onions peppers garlic a little drop of olive oil and all the herbs. Cooked that for about 10 minutes or so then added the lentils and stirred them around the pan then I added vegetable stock covered and...

    Lentils

Yes, I checked after 2hrs and was 5.2. But I now try to get my fats from plant based foods rather than animal fats as there aren't really any animal fats that are good for us. Having said that I do love fish and eggs and probably eat more of the two than I should. So I don't totally disagree...

    Lentils

Tried a lentil recipe today..5.1 before 5.5 1hr later. Ive read a lot of DR Greger's work and he has some really interesting views on diet and how it affects our lives. I'm never ever going to be a vegetarian, sacrebleu, but I'm really not convinced with the high fat diet, that some of you guys...

    Lentils

Nutritionfacts.org is where I read the initial report. But like I said I don't know how to share the link. The screen grab I posted was something I found later so it really has nothing to do with any organisation trying to push lentils. Check out the website before you make any glib comments...

    Testing Problems

I would insist on the test strips/Lancets or change my doctor, you obviously need them. The meds they're suggesting aren't necessary if you eat the right food and the only way you can work exactly what you can eat is by testing. Testing after every meal at first then as you get to know what you...

    Which meter should I get?

I get mine on prescription but made a mistake when 1st diagnosed of buying one from Boots only to find the test strips and Lancets wasn't covered by my doctor's surgery so I got one of their testers off them and use that. More Lancets than you need and 50 test strips for the price of a script. I...

    Lentils

Hi everyone, To lentil or not to lentil that is my question? I recently read that eating lentils at one meal can have serious benefits when eating the meal after. Can anyone expand on this?
