    Long Hypo!!

I find that when you see gaps in the readings like that overnight and it suddenly drops to a low on the next reading, it's usually when you get the Dexcom sensor issue and its being compressed. Glad that you had no effects on waking and it went back up relatively quick though, if it was a real hypo.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

4.4 this morning - settled around 5.5 after my liver woke up and I was out the house :)

    The results are in..

I had a blood test last week as a part of my 3 monthly check I've been having since diagnosed last April. Just had the results come back on the NHS app and extremely happy to see my HBA1c is still in the 'normal' range after 6 months, meaning I'm officially 'in remission' apparently. I've...

    Fasting blood glucose high....what the...???

I know everyone is different but when I was diagnosed my HBA1c was 95 last April. I started fasting and doing one meal a day, my fasting levels were in the 9-10's for at least a couple of weeks if I remember right. It took a while for the fasting levels to come down and it was gradual, I wake...

    Dexcom ONE+ free trial

They allow you to extend for 12hrs so over 3 sensors you can get a day and a half extra, if you use the subscription on Dexcoms website for the One+ it is only £79 for 3 sensors, compared to Libre's £103.48 for the same amount of days coverage. Personally I now prefer the Dexcom after using both.

    Hello

Thanks everyone : ) It's not really teaching anything I didn't already know, but it is funding a full meal replacement program for 3 months, then part-replacement introducing more foods later on. It is working, and my fasting blood sugar has come down and I've lost weight during the first 6...

    Hello

3 month update, I've just had the results of my latest HBA1c and it came back at 34 mmol/mol - 5.3%. Since April I've lost roughly 70lbs, I was doing low-carb/intermittent fasting and lots of exercise, almost daily. But I got accepted for the "NHS Path to Remission Program" so I'm 6 weeks into...

Estimated A1c by Libre 2 app

Looks like @sgm14 's code is accurate, however GMI and HBA1c may rarely line up. You have to take into account variability in sensor readings, compression lows, the inaccuracy in the first 24hrs of new sensors warming up. The only data it can base it on is your average glucose over a time...

Estimated A1c by Libre 2 app

I did wear Libre2 for well over 3 months, it said mine would be 40mmol/mol and it ended up being 42. Another 3 months has passed and I'm due another blood test on Friday, I've moved to Dexcom One+ which has 81 days of data, GMI is saying 5.6% which is 38mmol/mol so we'll see how accurate this is.
