New To Metformin And Feeling Cold !

I’ve been Metformin for [emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]] months, I had the usual symptoms at first, memories of arm in plaster and explosive diarrhoea. I’ve noticed that I feel the cold more. I’ll be much more warmly dressed than the people around me. I also have more trouble walking and exercising...

    Sensitive skin and CGM

Thanks Ellie, I find that I never qualify for anything, I expect to pay which is why I was trying to avoid an expensive mistake. I’m researching barrier creams now. I glue cotton fabric to the back of my watch so I can wear one but save my skin.

    Sensitive skin and CGM

Thanks for the suggestion, I could just do a short term free trial and see if it works. Do people do the CGM permanently or do they do it for a while then revisit every few months.

    Sensitive skin and CGM

I had been prediabetic for years until Sep 2025. I had a fall on holiday after a lunch of raisin toast. I broke my wrist and 2 bone in my right arm and registered 14.5 blood sugar. Straight on to Metformin 1000 once per day and finger prick blood sugar testing. Low carb food. I am T2, 58kg...

You have my sympathy, life can be hard sometimes. Could you give yourself something to look forward to - your wife might have a definite health outcome by late March and you could maybe have a longer holiday somewhere mild and dry. AI tells me that South Western England and specifically the...

    jardiance

I take it and it feels like my stomach has cramps, I get unpredictable diarrhoea and I don’t like the idea of bladder infection as well. I’ve negotiated just having it every second day, my blood tests have all come down to near normal, if low carb eating helps in the next three months hopefully...

    jardiance

Jardiance removes sugar and sends it to your kidneys before it goes through your system. It gives you sweet urine. Your body has bacteria around your elimination openings which love the sugar and can grow into urinary tract infections. Male and female. I wipe myself with plain water after...
