Diagnosed as Type 1 when I was 14 although I had it about 18 months before I was diagnosed I know that sounds strange. Looking back I had the symptoms for roughly 18 months but I was in boarding school for the 1st half of those 18 months and I just thought I was homesick and the principal told me I was making excuses getting up in the middle of the night about 2 times and drinking copious amounts of water and peeing like mad! I have it 25 yrs now and have been recently told that I have diabetic retinopathy in my left eye so need laser treatment soon. Not on a pump, taking injections of novorapid and recently Tresbia changed over from Levemir and since then everything going worse overall - Ah well LOL :)
