    Today was delivery day. Inclued in the basket No sugar Alpro yog, 2% fat thick yog, avocado, (pea shoots, watercress, rocket) salad pack, celery and quark. No meat , poultry etc as the freezer /cupboard is full of items of meat,fish, poultry, vegan and veggie items for the week...

    Im enjoying the posts- Getting new ideas for my basket. Col went to the greengrocer today. The cauliflower and leftover suede became cauli /suede cheese . With a sauce made from tbspn wholewheat flour / 1/2 pt? milk. Dash of curry powder , 2 tspn of chia seeds and left over cheddar.

    Yes it was a simple lemon flavoured cake , Only 2cm thin . I'll find the recipe if i can . AI on browser Duck Duck Go to found a cake recipe for Type 2 diabetic.

    Im always looking for items in can bake with or the occasional retail item that's ok enough This week I popped 2kg almond flour in my basket. I had used Ai to find a cake recipe. AND want to use almond with wholewheat flour for pastry

    Fibrous and / or starchy food ideas

    Nite hypos stopped, no longer taking night reading . Day readings down. Avr 7.7 last week ABH1C down to 45. Still abnormal but includes period of high reading with Covid 2 months ago. THE lead for diabetes is continuing . Im trying to fill dietary gaps in my knowledge eg fibre

    2 eggs,2 rashers bacon, 1 small wholemeal slice toast Trout fillet , Fish, Brussels, cauli, a few slices, homemade ( wholemeal ) bread pudding with chia seeds & pumpkin seed

    outlier Hi I am looking for things like wholewheat pasta - no discussion really. I am not a typical diabetic 2 . He is trying to prevent nitetime hypos. He means whole stuffs sorry if i didnt make this clear

    My gp is helping me to settle my readings . He's asked an imcrease in fibrous foods or statchy ones @ eve meal or later. This is too lessen nightime hypos. I'm type 2 with one insulin ( levemir 20 a.m ). but maybe some type 1 s might help makd a list of a variety of foods

    Hi in discussion gp its suggested i take more fibrous and/ or starchy food @ one meal of the day. Id like to hear members ideas . For important reasons which I'll kep private.
