I have been having a lot of hypo's lately one where I ended up unconscious in hospital. Diabetes specialist nurse has decided to swap me to Tresiba from Levemir in the hope it will give me beter control, was just wondering how others out there find tresiba and if it does actually last 24hours.

I use hypafix tape to keep my sensor in place it lasts for the 14days without coming off.

Thanks for the reply Juicyj and Dillinger I currently have 16 units of levemir am and 2 units novorapid as when my feet hit the ground blood sugar rises 1-1.5mmols. 1:8 ratio of novorapid breakfast and lunch and 1:10 ratio at dinner and 30 units levemir pm currently seem to have lows around...

Feeling fed up since starting my new insulins in July feel like I am fighting a loosing battle now as one month later after starting novorapid and levemir I still cant get the right balance.......

Hi was just wondering if anyone has suffered side effects when first starting levemir. I always seem to get a headache a hour or so after taking it.

Before bed blood sugars are around 4.9-6.2mmol. Have done a few 3am tests which were all around 9.8mmol, which I why I think I should possibly be taking more levemir to keep it down

Yeah I am carb counting which is all new to me was recommended to use a 1:8 ratio

I take two injections of levemir a day at 7am and 9pm
