    Best Libre xDrip bridge device?

Thanks @Jaylee , @In Response and @Antje77 for your helpful replies. I think my preference would be to use Libre 2 with xDrip via a patch app. Can anyone direct me on how this is done, please? EDIT: Do I basically just follow this?

    Best Libre xDrip bridge device?

Yeh, I should've said... I'm currently using Libre 1 but could probably get Libre 2 on prescription if I asked. And I use an Android phone.

    Best Libre xDrip bridge device?

After four years' faithful service, I think my trusty BluCon Nightrider has given up the ghost. What are your recommendations for a replacement bridge device please? Thanks in advance.

    Glucometer on prescription

This is an interesting discussion for me right now, too. I've been using Ascensia's Contour Next strips and meter for many years, having been attracted to it initially because of its accuracy - much higher than is required by regulations, I believe. However, my clinic have informed me that...

Skin irritation with Medtrum patch pump

It's the barrier film spray I've been using, actually. I still seem to get itchy under the patch by day 3. However, I know my skin is especially sensitive right now (although I don't know why). Hopefully you won't have the same trouble.

Skin irritation with Medtrum patch pump

Any Medtrum users here? Do you get irritated skin under your patch pump too? I've tried using Cavilon, but (a) it's quite expensive, and (b) it helps quite a bit, but doesn't fully resolve the problem. Does anyone know of any better alternatives to Cavilon? Or are there any other tips...

    Type 1 Somerset Meetups?

Hello everyone. Been a while since I posted on here regularly... Just wondering whether anyone knows of any regular meetups for type 1's in Somerset? I have learned so much from this forum, and a few Facebook groups too, but I'm someone who really benefits from offline interaction more. I'd...

Pump Choice for DIY Closed Loop with Libre

I'm not sure if I'm just not looking in the right way or the right places, but I can't find the answer to my current conundrum, so I'm hoping some of you might be able to help, please. I currently use a Libre 1 + Blucon Nightrider + xDrip+ to make a CGM system, and I've also been using a pump...

Paul Saladino Podcast Ep#43: Carnivore vs Fruitarian

This is an interesting thread. My own man-crush is on Dr Rangan Chatterjee, for his honest and compassionate attitude. I've been following his podcast for a few years, and have two of his books. It was a recent podcast episode which brought me here, indirectly. He spoke with Dr Gemma Newman...

How to install xdripswift on iOS?

I've been using xDrip+ on Android for a couple of years, and have just replaced my phone with an iPhone. Does anyone here know how to install xdripswift?

Thank you, and yes, please be assured that I do treat the hypo first and worry about ketosis second!

How to treat hypos during prolonged exercise, for keto...

Thanks for the replies. I think the problem is an excess of insulin, so my next step is simply to take my pump of an hour before I plan to ride. We'll see how that goes - it's all trial and error!

How to treat hypos during prolonged exercise, for keto...

Looking for advice from anyone who is both type 1 and keto - how to treat hypos during prolonged exercise? I like to cycle long-distance, and normally do so fasted, but if I hit a hypo, I have to treat it with glucose, which tips me back into carb-burning...

    Ice cream

You could try Oppo ice cream. Much lower in carbs, so should be easier to bolus for.
