How long have you had T1

Type 1 for 60 years this year. I was diagnosed at a time when there were no pens, no pumps, no really pure insulins, no blood sugar meters, just glass syringes that had to be sterilised. I'm still here and hoping to avoid covid.

Getting Dizzy Spells When Standing Up

Agree with the others. I have had the same problem and my GP advised me to wear support tights which has helped a lot. Just an idea but you should probably also see your doc.

Travelling through time zones affecting sugar

Maybe you were more active when you were on holiday and therefore needed less long-acting insulin or perhaps it's more stressful coming back. Perhaps you need to increase it again. Just a thought: lot's of things can affect your blood sugars. Don't beat yourself up about it: it takes time and...

    Me Cataract Op Aaaarg.

I'm glad to hear you have recovered from what must have been a horrifying experience. To be honest, i'm glad I didn't read about your op before I had cataracts on both eyes operated on a few years ago. I was absolutely terrifed at the time, being a bit of a wimp, but everything passed off...
