    Natural Yogurt

Has anyone found a low sugar/low fat natural yogurt. The zero or low fat options have 8-10% sugar and the lowest sugar I can find at 6% has 13% fat. I am trying to keep my fat intake down, as my cholesterol has risen slightly and the D Nurse wants to give me tablets to lower it, but I don't want...

    Foot care.

Thanks for the quick and very useful responses, very much appreciated.

    Foot care.

I have some hard skin on the heels of my feet, this seems to build up every few years and my normal practice is to soak my feet and use a Scholls foot scraper to remove the hard skin. The skin is not cracked, broken, bleeding or has sores on it. I bought a battery operated foot care device which...

    Good News/Bad News.

If you read my posts carefully, I was not informed by the Doctor who changed my medication that there were any testing/driving "issues". I was only informed by the Diabetes Nurse at an appointment 2 weeks later. I immediately stopped taking Ziclaseg and reverted to Metformin. I have no...

    Good News/Bad News.

Its hard to explain , but I don't feel ill and am treating my Diabetes as an inconvenience and don't want to be thinking about it all day, which testing before and after meals would make me do (2 hours after breakfast I will probably be in the middle of a field). I take my morning and evening...

    Good News/Bad News.

Thanks for the responses, as she was not over exaggerating the self testing requirement, if going back to Metformin brings back the discomfort, I will ask about the slow release version rather than take the Ziclaseg. I have found that adapting my lifestyle (diet) to Diabetes 2 has been not...

    Good News/Bad News.

Early last Summer I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 my HbA1c was 63 and I was prescribed Metformin 500g twice a day. I decided to cut out sugars/sweets/cakes, etc., and try to go as low carb as possible, with no bread, pasta, rice, etc. 12 weeks later (August) I had lost one and a half stone and...

    Is T2D remission rare?

Without repeating all my history (its posted elsewhere on here), I was diagnosed about 15 weeks ago, at my last Diabetes Nurse Appt 3 weeks ago, in the 12 weeks, I have lost 20lbs and gone from 63 to 52. I said I had been increasing my LowCarb regime and she said that I had done well, but if I...

    365 recipes info.

I found a lot of reasonably priced low carb recipe books on Amazon, but I appreciate the advice.

    365 recipes info.

You may have noticed in my first post that I anticipated paying for such a book/leaflet and I will now go and search the Internet for something appropriate. Just because its free makes it no easier for people that don't use tablets, or spend all day on their computers, to use.

    365 recipes info.

Thanks for the suggestions, but my wife and I would find it more convenient if they were in a book format. I assume by the response that they are not available, other than as a download.

    365 recipes info.

I have downloaded this and my PC says it is 442 pages long. My old printer probably couldn't cope, plus the cost of paper and ink. Is this info available as a book, or leaflet that I could purchase ? There must be others in the same situation as me. @Administrator @Giverny

    Second visit to Diabetes Nurse.

Thanks for the info, I understand the results a bit better now. None of my blood test have been "fasting" tests. This is still very new to me, but I am learning a lot from this website. If it wasn't here I think a lot of us would be quite lost.

    Second visit to Diabetes Nurse.

I was diagnosed Type 2 8 weeks ago and saw the Diabetes Nurse 6 weeks ago, when my numbers were 63-7.9%-10 . I saw her today and in 8 weeks I have lost 18 lbs by cutting down on fruit and carbs generally, my numbers today are 52-6.9% and she didn't know what the "10" from last time was, which...

    More questions.

Thanks for the advice and the article was interesting (well, the bits I understood) . It will certainly help me with the suggested self testing routine, which I intend to start next week.
