    Doh.....Dairy intolerant, advise needed folks

I have found (and ordered) a non whey shake today. Will stick with Alpro brand for yoghurt and milk as these appear to fit the bill and are not so bad taste-wise as it goes. Koko spread will be on the Tesco delivery along with Violife cheese. That's covered the basics and I will work from there...

    Doh.....Dairy intolerant, advise needed folks

Hi Sunny, They have advised me to do just that.....cut it all out for 4-5 days and to gently re-introduce items as it could be that I have overloaded my system with just too many dairy products whilst following LCHF. Methinks the protein shake has tipped me over the edge ?? Thanks for some great...

    Doh.....Dairy intolerant, advise needed folks

Hi Brunneria, I set the machine bleeping with milk, butter, yoghurt, cream and a sample of a protein (whey) shake I take daily. I even set the machine off with certain sweetners which I found incredible......Truvia in powdered form was ok, but the tablet form contain a milk derivative which set...

    Doh.....Dairy intolerant, advise needed folks

Thanks juicy......have just enjoyed a cup of tea with almond milk and was pleasantly surprised :-) I was amazed during the testing yesterday that Truvia sweetner (switched to that back in Jan as its a healthier option) is fine in powdered form, but the capsules are bulked by a milk derivative...

    Doh.....Dairy intolerant, advise needed folks

Hi All, I have been following the LCHF diet with great results....lost nearly 2 stone and BG well controlled. Here's the HOWEVER........ Yesterday I went for allergy testing as my eyes have been streaming recently and after a good 2 hours testing various food types, animal hair, dust, grass...

    Rice replacement

I use the 'Better Than' range. Rice, pasta and noodles. Can be bought in bulk from amazon. Carb free and very low calorie. Pretty versatile, a little tasteless but is great as a base to homemade curries, chilli, stir frys and Bolognese. Really easy to use as it requires virtually no cooking...

    2015/16 Football Season

First time on the footy forum :-) A massive well done to the Mighty Palace in making it to the final and setting up a 1990 re-match of the epic final that finished 3-3 when a certain Mr. Ferguson was hanging on to his job and needing silverware to stave off the impending P45 !! The rest, as they...

    Stress

Definitely. I had a very stressful period at work at the start of the year dealing with redundancies and loss of business and my levels rocketed to the high 20s. My GP put it down to stress and I was signed off work for 2 weeks and put on saxagliptin to supplement the metformin. Try and chill...

T2's Out of Interest How did your Diagnosis Come About?

I was told the same Ed......bit young for hip replacement. On the up-side, I have lost over a stone and a half in the last 3 months and am doing the LCHF diet with Omega 3 supplements and things are so much better. Clearly the fats and oils are lubricating the moving parts :-)
