Type 1 Fiasp use during pregnancy

Thanks Becca! My doctors are just always so “scared” of pre bolusing, they recommend actually 10 Minutes tops but I’m really skeptical that it’s gonna be sufficient [emoji85] I’ll try asking tomorrow again!

Type 1 Fiasp use during pregnancy

Hi guys! I’m Debora, a type 1-diabetic on Omnipod (Fiasp) and Dexcom G6. I’m currently 18-weeks pregnant with my first child and having some doubts regarding pre-bolusing with Fiasp - I’m doing a 10’ pre bolus and it’s enough for now but I wonder if, when I get more insulin resistant, it’s safe...

Fiasp Insulin is somewhat incredible honest don't need to low carb.

I've been enjoying Fiasp a lot also! But I need to take another bolus 1:30h later when I eat usually > 50f carbs otherwise I go higher afterwards- I'm still not sure how much though, I need to test more. Does anyone has a similar experience?

Type 1 OpenAps (Fiasp) - 2 boluses necessary

Hi everyone! I'm Debora and, recently I've started using the OpenAps with Fiasp - my problem is that when I eat carby foods, I need to take te normal bolus and set an alarm to take more half the initial dose 2h after (the SMB feature helps, but its never enough to correct me back to range). Does...

Testing every two hours or 1 hour after food?

I definitely agree with him, that we should know how much certain food affects our blood sugars, so that's why I think its important to use a Continuous Glucose Monitor (like Libre) or monitor with a meter, but not necessarily to avoid certain foods, but to know how you can improve you insulin...

    Type 1 Infos about Omnipod

Hey guys, I'm a type 1 diabetic using a Accu Chek Spirit Combo for 5 years and Libre 2 but I'm for a while thinking about changing it and the best option for me I think is Omnipod! So today, I had a doctor's appointment and I told them that I wanted to change - the doc was pretty ok with it...

    Libre 2

Hey! I live in Germany and I'm using the Libre 2 for about 2 months now - and no, you have to get a new reader as well, it doesn't work with the Libre 1 reader. I think it should be released soon in the UK, but they didn't set up a release yet, from what I searched.

    Type 1 diagnosis

Yeah, I totally get you! There're a hundred different factors that can contribute or not to this and it's hard to pinpoint exactly what made it function or not. Anyways, it's something that for sure needs research and all to be better understood. :)

    Type 1 diagnosis

True! I followed before his approach but I thought it was too much restrained. But recently I went back to it, but made some alterations so I can maintain it (I eat some of the veggies and grains of the "no-no-list", like raw carrots, tomatoes and corn and I'm still usually more than 90% in the...

    Type 1 diagnosis

This is from Bernstein's Book, which even though it's not supported by other papers (just like most of his approaches to diabetes management), doesn't make it less truth since it's based upon the knowledge that if you have functioning beta-cells (whether you're a type 1 or type 2 diabetec), and...

    Type 1 diagnosis

Hey Stuart! It's great that you're still on your honeymoon period - you can actually prolong this period indefinitely with maintaining good blood sugars (it's really the higher BS that "destroys " the rest of your insulin producing cells), so I've seen a lot of times people like you, in the...

    Type 1 Open APS

Hey!! I looped using the Spirit Combo and Libre + MiaoMiao and for me it worked out really nice - I have only good things to say about the OpenAPS loop, it increased my time in target and lower the nasty lows, but what I didn't enjoyed it was that you can't use extended bolus with it (there's...
