Official diagnosis was in 2009 and started insulin because of pregnancy in 2015, so 6 years. Had I not gotten pregnant it would have been longer without any meds.
Thank you. Yes I asked for options and help because I feel rather out of my depth because I only have long acting insulin. I am looking at diet changes right now. I can’t do Keto, but I am working forwards low-carbing of ca 50-70g daily. And I was looking for information that I can use at my...
Did you get tested for T3 via NHS? I have mentioned to them that I feel my levo doses feel wrong but as usual, as per the GP bloods are fine and I must be imagining things…
Hi. There is never a real follow up with my gp…. They give me a sheet of food advise usually and that is that. Regarding go the liver, never a follow up except they now do bloods for it, if I hunt them down for it.
My blood pressure is my personal ‘quest’. I understand it is within the normal...
Thank you all for your input. I will have a look into these.
@Oldvatr would you mind explaining why you mean by carb counting protein? I have never heard of this before.
Hi
My health is getting progressively worse. Or rather is has been bad and I am just finding out because the GP never gave me the full picture.
Type 2 for 12 years that I know of.
hypothyroidism for 9 years
on insulin (only levemir now) for 7 years
Elevated blood pressure for me (I actually...
Calling all cervix owners. I just had a smear and it came back abnormal with possibly severe dyskaryosis. Now I have been invited for a colposcopy in a few weeks, with potentially removing those abnormal cells with a electric loop. I forgot what the official name for this is.
Now my question...
Hi
I’m currently on levemir, metformin and levothyroxin.
For nearly a year now I feel my hearing going a bit. It’s not the usual everything is muffled but I can hear anything else but the background noise. For example, kids are watching tv and one of them asks something. They have to speak up...
Hi
Please redirect if I posted in the wrong group...
I am about to sign up to the low carb program and it suggested adding the “low carb Kickstarter “ and some other things. Is that book really worth it and needed?
Those who have done this 12 week program, does it really help?
TIA
Been diagnosed 11years a go and had issues before that. My levels are usually quite high but not this bad. I wake up with 8 and 9 usually and have a bad high spike for a few hours after lunch. Drowsy and all. Didn’t feel that today but my levels are not going down either...
hi
How long do I need to fast to get my levels down? I woke up with 14.6 and haven’t eaten anything yet. So 20h in, it is still at 12,2. Went to the park with kids and been active and it’s still not down.
I had a naan with curry last night, I know not a good dinner at all.
I really want to...
I know it is high. Fasting levels on a good day is 6.2, on a bad one over 10. Over the last week when my levels did come down to “normal levels” I feel hypo symptoms. Upon testing it is still 7.5 but I feel shaky.
I am due a blood test soon, will come back to here with that and after more...
Thank you all for your replies and especially for that info.
I haven’t really been taught how to calculate my carbs for insulin? My DN helped me adjust my insulin during my pregnancies and I worked it out by trial and obvious error after the second pregnancy by myself.
How do I calculate...
Hiya. Regarding the novorapid I think it was a delayed reaction. My 1h would still be a bit high (following advice of testing after 1h during pregnancy, no one ever told me to test after 2h). My hypos would be 4 hours down the line, usually just before my next meal.
I stopped testing so much...
