I think the difference is that in previous trials/patients they had to take immunosuppressant drugs for the rest of their lives, whereas this trial has a drug given once beside the islet cells.
You're lucky!! The practice manager at my surgery won't respond to letters or telephone calls to the surgery asking to make an appointment to speak to her.
I was the same nearly 60 years ago @Tony337 and also not getting the banana sandwich when everyone else did. I got cheese or cold meat if I was lucky!!
Another one using tubed Tandem, which has never leaked.
Have you talked to your hospital team? Leaked insulin can be due to not rotating sites well, or pods becoming loose.
