For cleaning the area where a sensor or cannula is going. I don't use it prior to injections.

    Insulin smell

I've always loved the smell of insulin. Am not so keen on alcohol swabs - I think it's the association of being called into the treatment room at the hospital when I was about 10 for injections or blood tests.

    Trial

Oh bless you @becca59 You've got my sympathy, back pain is horrible. You don't realise how it affects everything you do, or at least I certainly didn't, until I started having back issues. Hope you feel better soon, and just to agree with @oldgreymare - thank you for taking part in the trial -...

Dexcom G6 - issues with skin reactions

Have you tried applying a Tegaderm patch without a sensor on top, to check she's not slightly allergic to it as well. I start getting a reaction to Tegaderm after a few hours, which is why I'm asking.

Slippers/shoes for hammer toes and normal width feet

Please can anyone recommend a website for slippers and shoes that are deep enough to accommodate slight hammer toes, but aren't wide fitting. They also need to be slip on. I seem to draw a blank everywhere with only needing a normal width fitting. Even the podiatrist is stuck.

CAN’T COPE WITH THIS **** NO MORE!!!

We were given a course book that Dafne was based around, which was useful. Were you given one - if so, maybe have a read of that to refresh your memory of Dafne principles. You could also make your own notes of what you ate, bloods before and after food, spikes etc. I'm sorry you're having a...

How to support teen with fear of lows

I know this won't be what you want to hear, but unfortunately it can happen even if you dose correctly because there are 42 different things that affect blood sugar, not just food. @Antje77 do you still have the list that you previously posted? When it's warm, I need less insulin for example...
