The bread rolls from SeriouslyLowCarb are delicious and less than 3g carbs each. The loaf is even lower but not as nice. Both freeze really well and it makes a great bacon n egg roll.
I've been battling DP for about 22 mths now. I've changed my insulin, eat a low carb diet and don't eat after 6pm. My readings are 5s going to bed and anything from 10+ in the morning. I wear a Libre sensor and it shows a gradual ride from 3am and a sharp rise as I wake up. It's really...
Since going in the Libre sensor I have noticed my bsl begin to rise from about 3am with a sharp rise on waking. I have upped my night time Lantus but it's still early days. I do eat a very low carb diet and take only small amounts of bolus insulin. I am waiting to see my DN for some help and...
My DN has put me on a Libre Freestyle sensor that I get on prescription. It has been a game changer for me. I just wave my phone over it and it gives me a blood sugar reading with the direction it is going. I also use the mysugr app to take the guess work out of how much insulin to inject by...
I wear my Libre on the underside of my arm so it's not effected but we are all different and what works for some won't work for everyone. We just do what works for us I guess.
I've had several tattoos all lasting at least a couple of hours and have not noticed any significant rises in my blood sugars. I'm have a Libre sensor now so I will monitor my bm during my next sitting in May. You've got me curious now.
I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I wear the Libre and my blood sugar starts to rise from about 3am to 10 or 11 by 6am rise. It is very frustrating as my normal levels are between 4 and 6. I take Lantus and Novarapid. I'm trying different injection times to solve this but not found a...
Hi. Does anyone have experience of wearing their sensor through airport security please? Do I need a letter from my GP or just the Medical Device Awareness Card? Thanks
I'm a bare foot person but since standing on an electric plug which was **** painful and became infected I'm a bit more wary. Can't walk over gravel like I used to though.
Hi. I have been eating keto for the last 12mths and my bm levels have been in the 4-5.5 range. Since starting with the Libre sensor thingy I have noticed my bm level rises from about 3am to around 7-9! I have no idea why this is happening. I have not had a hypo. I usually do a 16/8...
No I don't bolus for protein as a rule. If I notice my readings creeping up after a no carb meal I will have a unit or two but I don't preempt this. I also use mysugr to log my readings and this gives me the amount of insulin to take but it did take a while to get the insulin/carb ratio...
I match my insulin to the carbs I eat and since eating keto since Jan 2018 maybe just 2 or 3 units and sometimes none. I eat less than 19g carbs a day, have about 71g protein and up to 120g healthy fat. This ratio seems to suit me.
I did alot of research before I went so low carb and took...
