A1c Is Incredibly Misleading And Should Probably Not Be Used For Diagnosis ...

I just hope shedding the rest of the pounds will drop my fasting . Hoping it’s just because I’m still overweight and not because I’m headed towards diabetes . Only time will tell I guess .

A1c Is Incredibly Misleading And Should Probably Not Be Used For Diagnosis ...

Hankjam, if by reserves you mean some weight to lose, then, yes, I still go. I am 32 years old male, 1.75 meters (average height), and weighed 93 kilograms in January. Since then, I’ve shed weight and am now about 80 kilograms . I am significantly leaner and much closer a healthy weight for my...

A1c Is Incredibly Misleading And Should Probably Not Be Used For Diagnosis ...

And the high fastings are the morning readings . If I eat a meal in the morning and then test 8 hours later after not eating anything, my sugar drops to 4.7 mmol . The other readings are fasting too but not morning ones. Only the morning fasting is 5.6 to 5.9 mmol.

A1c Is Incredibly Misleading And Should Probably Not Be Used For Diagnosis ...

Hankjam, I’ve done a number of “experiments” with certain very high carb meals to see what is the problem . One time I ate Chinese food and drank a large Pepsi . Total carb content was ridiculous at 275-300 grams . I went from about 90 mg/dL (5 mmol) before eating up to 8.3 mmol at 1 hour. By 2...

A1c Is Incredibly Misleading And Should Probably Not Be Used For Diagnosis ...

As the title says, A1C is incredibly misleading . My A1C was 5.4 on two occasions and recently dropped to 5.3 for no particular reason. Yet I have high fasting glucose from 5.6 to 5.9 mmol which is considered prediabetic . And I do not have anemia, abnormal hemoglobin or any other condition that...

Not Diabetic But Fasting Glucose Went Up And A1c Went Down Slightly ...

I’ve been paranoid of diabetes for the last few months due to mildly elevated fasting blood sugars ranging from 101-106 mg/dL (5.6 to 5.9 mmol). In the United States, these values are considered prediabetic. I lost weight and exercised and ate clean and I did get a fasting glucose as low as 89...

Can The Pizza Effect Occur In Nondiabetics? Super Concerned...

Guzzler, I had no idea nondiabetics can experience it and see an increase in BG later on. From what I have read, nondiabetics appear to have perfect glucose at all times. There’s so much conflicting information out there it’s enough to go mad.

Can The Pizza Effect Occur In Nondiabetics? Super Concerned...

I’ve posted previously before and my numbers indicate I’m not diabetic with an A1C of 5.4% and two OGTT screenings at 2 hours of 108 and 125 mg/dL (6 mmol and 6.9 mmol). My fastings may indicate mild insulin resistance at around 5.8 mmol sometimes . I’ve been testing with heavy high carb meals...

Scared I have diabetes despite labs due to strange symptoms last 2 months

Hey, guys, I’m new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself - my name is John. For the last couple of months, I’ve been paranoid of being diabetic and have had high anxiety/stress over my concerns . These concerns stem from a slightly elevated fasting glucose of 5.8, which is considered...
