Don't get it, there must be some point where the Medics say- it's Insulin for you as tablets/diet are not working.
So from the experts, what is this point Hba1C 61?
KK, that is my problem, I realise going onto Insulin could be dramatic & have many aspects that impact life to a negative degree.
Your words sum up my fears!!
But what level of Hba1c is the point where Insulin is suggested?
This evening just prior to Supper Blood Sugar 10.0, high but not bad.
For Supper Ham & Egg pie (Gala Pie?) + chips then Grapefruit segments.
Blood sugar 2 hours after 18.4.
Could say move to insulin but moving onto Radiotherapy & how will this go with Diabetes type 2?
Been on a Chemo treatment for 4 months now finished.
Have stopped doing Blood/Sugar measurements, only been doing fasting in morning.
Started yesterday a 4 test a day routine.
This morning got a fasting measurement of 9.8, for me not bad.
But after a Fried Breakfast @ 2 hours later reading was...
Thanks for good information. So as I see it, my HbA1c, lies in the green/yellow segment of the chart so it's not as bad as I feared.
Will talk to nurse Monday.
Please I'm not asking for advise on dosage of medication.
I'm asking for advise on timing.
With a sugar dump, would it be best to take the Alogliptin in morning/lunch time/evening?
My diet has not changed but my latest Hba1c figure has increased to 68
I'm currently taking, early morning 2 Metformin 500mg/1 Alogliptin 12.5mg/1 Gliclazide 80mg & in the evening 2 Metformin 500mg/1 Gliclazide 80mg.
My problem of control seems to be an "Early Morning Sugar dump"
My nurse has now increased my Alogliptin to 25mg/day.
I've been told to still keep...
