What's the allowed range of Hba1C Results?

Just had results returned in UK.
Awaiting nurse to phone for chat.
Am told that Hba1C is @ 56.
Is this in tolerance?
 
Well it implies T2 diabetes
Anything over 48 mmol/m is considered "full on" T2 here in the UK.
From 42-47 is Prediabetes and 41 or lower is "normal".
 
Thanks for good information. So as I see it, my HbA1c, lies in the green/yellow segment of the chart so it's not as bad as I feared.
Will talk to nurse Monday.
