    Diabetic Neuropathy

I only have some numbness, it started with numbness in the V between the big toe and 2nd but now fingers 2-3 feel slightly numb and some area above the V. My HbA1c improvement has reduced the intermittent mild burning in the feet. I have never had any pain, just numbness that worries me, just...

Type 2 and Metformin side affects.

500mg 1xday, I can feel a lot of numbness in the limbs upon slightest pressure sleeping, sitting, resting hands or feet against any surface. Especially in the last finger of my hands. Seems like metformin is giving rise to b12 deficiency / absorption, Neurobion helps. Diet is moderate card -...

    Cholesterol Results - Reduced Carb

I really do not count my carbs but I am off bread, rice, sugar, potatoes etc. I go with veggies, meat, chicken, eggs in my meals. I have added cheese and cream to my diet, earlier I used to be scared to cholesterol going higher (typical). My Trigs and HDL has certainly improved marginally...

    Cholesterol Results - Reduced Carb

    Low Carb Bread

I would check 3 hours later too, I spike with low carb seeded bread sometime after 2 hours, my 3 hour readings after a low carb slice is higher then 2 hours. That not the case with other carbs, everyone is different so maybe it's just me. Better to rule out delayed spikes.

    Bread Vs Rice

If someone returns to normal range in 2 hours, despite the interim spike, would that not be considered normal person's body response to clearing carbs /glucose from blood within 2 hours?

    Bread Vs Rice

Thanks Guys, so this also may imply following; A) Insulin resistance is somewhat relative to the nature of the food / meal and not the carb content or GI or GL B) Intensity of Insulin resistance cannot be determined by spike with a carb content in a similar GI food. C) Ditto as A&B for...

    Bread Vs Rice

Hi, It comes to my information from someone diabetic (no meds only diet)that his 2 hour readings with rice (approx 30 carbs/ 100gm/ 1 cup) is pretty much in normal range whereas with a slice of multigrain Bread it would be around Pre-diabetic range. Would it be an unnoticed early /late spike...

    Fasting And 2 Hour Reading

Skipped breakfast, 2 hrs later I was at 6.7, so the eggs, cheese and tea have the minimal effect as I guessed. It's the time of the day Liver Dumps . One more thing I am itching to try is easy around 10-15 carbs for breakfast, a brown toast or tortilla or Oats to check if liver dump is due to...

    Fasting And 2 Hour Reading

Same meal same time - I skipped the sweet-n-low today - started at 5.9 and 2 hours later was at 7.4, has to be the time of the day / liver dumps.
