What are the causes of gum swelling in diabetes?

My gums were a mess at the time I was diagnosed. They’ve come back healthy after getting control. I think It was a combination of bad diet, high blood pressure and the effects of diabetes on the blood vessels.

I am losing the battle with my health.

How about a few doses of sunshine? The great disinfectant. Any time I feel I’m being attacked, I go lay out in the sun for a half hour. Probably placebo but it always helps me feel better

Shopping list for both combating T2 and NAFLD suggestions?

If i’m training every day, with higher intensity , then I’ll have 20-40 grams of carbs beforehand. the best way to figure out what is best for you is to wear a CGM, just once is enough. If you’re like me, even training fasted causes a spike. You...

    Vitamin C supplements and diabetes

I supplement C as it’s helps with collagen synthesis and it’s a great antioxidant. I haven’t noticed if it changes anything with regards to BG levels, but I think if it did, I would have.

High a1c since quitting Hot Yoga and taking up swimming

Interesting, swimming always crushes my numbers. I recommend getting a CGM to see your spiking during the swimming session. You can also try lower intensity

    Newly type 2

Hi and welcome : ) Are you self testing with a glucose meter? This is what helped me find out the foods that were causing blood glucose spikes. A lot of people here in this forum were able to get into normal ranges by minimizing the amount of carbohydrates.

    Just been diagnosed

Hi, Welcome to the club! Getting a meter is absolutely essential. You can’t fix what you don’t measure. You need to find what foods are causing the spikes and cut them out of your diet.
