I am 43 have been diagnosed for 2 and half years with type 1, dad died very suddenly in April 2017 and husband has been told he is dying, but hanging on in there
I am type 1 and yes being sick can affect your blood sugar levels, it happens to me, the best advice I can give is keep an eye on your levels by checking them more often. I know what it’s like to be newly diagnoised nearly 3 years now and I’m still getting use to it. Good luck :)
I’m type 1 have been for 2 and half years, I eat what I want in moderation, I take my insulin and never miss a dose. I just live my life, I am healthily for the insulin. Don’t let your diabetes rule your life. Good luck :)
Take one day at a time, i was diagnosed with type 1at 41, 2 and a half years ago. That was a shock. Every day is a learning curve with diabetes once your medication is sorted out you will feel a lot better. It will take time to get your head around it. I take 8 units of novorapid 3 times during...
It took a year and a half before I was told I had type 1, I had the fungal infection which went on for a long while, but you don’t associated that with diabetes until you are diagnosed.
I was 41when I was told I had type 1 that was 2 and a half years ago, it was a shock to say the least but you get there once you get your head round the injections and blood testing. Good luck, we have all been there :)
I have the same problem, I sometimes find if I stand up when injecting this helps. It does get easier. Try not to get stress when doing it as this seems to make it sting when it goes on. Good luck :)
I eat what I wanted over the Christmas and new year within moderation, that’s the key eat in moderation and take your insulin.
Life is too short, my dad died very suddenly in April with a massive stroke, that showed me that you have to live your life as you never know what might happen. Get out...
Those were the symptoms that I had drinking a lot, going to the toilet a lot, losing weight, tired, cold all the time, I was told I had type 1, would get her check out as soon as possible.
