I got highly stressed over something I shouldn't have, and my BG went nuts. My Bg level goes up if I take a hot shower and I thought it was going up because of that. But when I hadn't eaten and it still was going up I realized I had a pod/site failure and switched it out. So already too high...

Have you ever checked what your blood sugar level is when you wake up at night? If your basal rate is too strong it can be dropping in the middle of the night causing you to be hungry. I used to have that happen with my Lantus, that's why when I started it again I split the dose so I take a...

Lol, I have a cupboard everything goes into. I can't remember what all the lancets go to either! But the ones never hunted for are in a plastic container just in case I find out at some point. I love Tony's idea of a tray in the refrigerator, but my method works, newest stack on the right...

Bah Humbug = disgust or disbelief, but it can also mean sham, deceitful, trickery, which I didn't have a clue about! Then I saw it could be a striped hard candy!!!!! Which turns out that's a UK and few other countries name for striped candy!!! In the US we just call it striped peppermint candy...

The NPH I know of here still have to be rolled to gently mix. They just aren't as bad as the previous generation ones. It's interesting to note that the new insulins like Lantus, Humalog, Novalog should not be mixed/rolled/shaken as any kind of shaking can degrade them faster. And Humalog...

DP is usually one thing that a pump is highly recommended for! There's just no good way to control it otherwise except waking up and injecting a dose. At least they recognize that's not the best option!

@becca59 I am a night owl but I have the same issue. My lightest settings in my pump settings are after 4pm and the lowest after 11pm. Then at around 3 a slight boost and at 4 a bigger boost and even bigger boost at 5 am for only an hour. But I will all of a sudden randomly for anywhere from...

I really need to control the impulse of my BG levels going higher than I think they should, take some correction insulin, then decide to get on my exercise bike. I know if I don't do anything I can stay higher for too long for my liking, but a correction dose and the bike always means eating...

My husband (and customers when I had the store too) had relief from using a product called Nature's Lining from LaneInnovative. It's a chewable tablet. My husband was waking up in the middle of the night choking from reflux and now he doesn't have any issues although he still can't eat things...
