Have a look through Daisy's post to new member if you haven't already. It is possible to reduce the meds your on by making alterations to your diet, if that's what you choose to do

All I can say is what worked for me.
I've dieted all my adult life, tried everything, had some success but always ended up putting it back on and more. Then last december I was diagnosed with type 2 db.
After finding this forum (yey) I set about testing my bloods...
Unfortunately, Defren isn't here to tell us what she thinks, implies, believes,
