Thankful for where we are today, and trying to take one day at a time. Hopeful for the future - It's a daily journey! Sep 9, 2019

    Signature

Mom to 14 yr old son diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on April 23 2019.
Insulin (Humalog & Lantus) daily starting on April 23.
Honeymooning since May 22, stopped Insulin at the end of May.
We are now monitoring blood sugar levels, making careful choices about carbs, and walking twice a day.
Used and loved the Freestyle Libre for a few months, now back to finger pricks after last few Libre sensors ended super early.
Will try the Libre again with some adjustments - Hoping the sensors stick this time!
I am trying not to worry but to be hopeful and thankful for each "win"! :)
