Dietiticians and DNS in general have yet to adjust their thinking to the low carb revolution which actually was up and running back in the 60's when my friend's father had to measure every bit of carb., then it became fashionable to advise eat brown everything etc pasta, bread, etc Good luck...

I find a protein breakfast best for me...though gluten free porridge made half and half with almond milk and water is good to go til midday. Kippers and scrambled egg. Frittata great...halloumi cheese friend with tomato etc I'm ok unless I'm staying with friends etc and then it all goes to pot...

Sorry I should have written...that I'm on Lantus at night 44 units and Novo Rapid according to carbs in meals. bg's go up and down and have allergies sensitivities to the ingredients in Insulin. NO point talking to doc about it though.
