When should I measure my fasting level?

I eat my evening meal at about 7:30pm and don't eat anything until my lunch the following day at around 1pm. Should I simply measure my "before lunch" and also count it as my fasting level (would only have drunk water up until then) Or am I missing something? Thanks

What time of day should I measure ketones?

Hi, just got myself a Carsens-dual meter. The ketone strips are £10 for ten. I don't intend checking every day otherwise it would cost a fortune. But intend to check every 5 days at first until I'm constantly in ketosis, then maybe once every fortnight. But what is the best time to check...

T2 and Erectile Dysfunction - Metformin, sulfonylurea, diet, testosterone

It's something I've often thought about. The reality is, due to my health problems, my wife is up an hour and a half before me, taking the dogs for a long walk, she definitely isn't in the mood when she comes back. Plus the dogs will be going mad at that point, hence they would bark and wake...

Intermittent Fasting and GERD (GastroEsophagal Reflux Disease) and/or Hiatus Hernia ((HH)

I had a bad Hiatus Hernia, was on max allowed dose of Omiprazole a day for years and years (started in early 90s) then they changed it to Lansoprazole and even then, I still often got through a whole large bottle of gaviscon in a day. Before I had my op, I would wake up in the middle of the...

T2 and Erectile Dysfunction - Metformin, sulfonylurea, diet, testosterone

They discovered my T2 when I went to the GP about ED. I say discovered, the person I saw (different every time at my surgery) told me I was already a diabetic from the blood tests I had over the past few years and put me on metformin immediately. I have always have a very big sex drive and I...

    Metformin and Alcohol

Hmm, might give metformin a miss on a Saturday night then (although I've done this almost every week since being put on it in dec 2017) Trouble is, nothing at all related to my diabetes, I suffer almost permanently from most side effects listed on most medication anyway, due to various health...

    ESA and PIP

I agree with ally1, get a charity whether CAB or other benefit support charity to fill it in. It takes ages, the lady that filled mine in said she's convinced it's designed so that most people give in half way through filling the forms out.
