Type 1 Girls with type 1! please can you advise?!

Hey ladies. I woke up this morning on 12.2. Despite injecting to correct, my levels kept rising! The highest I've hit today is 22.4. I injected to correct and now it's coming back down ( after 4. 5hours)! My question is.. Last week I was on my period. Usually I experience more insulin...

Type 1 High Blood Sugars In Mornings any advice?

Hey :) So annoying to see you're going high when you wake! I feel your pain! Have you tried increasing your basal rates from the time your levels start to rise ( maybe you should try a few hours before?) Not sure obviously but it's worth a try? [emoji849] Hate waking up high. It's horrible...

Type 1 Injection sites becoming more insulin resistant..

Sounds a silly question.. But I've been on the accu check pump for 2. 5 years now and almost always put the cannula on my stomach. I have little body fat anyway on my abdomen, however Im starting to realise certain sites are causing highs due to what I can only pinpoint 'insulin resistant'...

Has anyone had to alter their basal rates/profile during lockdown?

Hey everyone, Another question I'm looking for advice with :) Has anyone had to change their basal rates during lockdown? I'm on the Accu check insight pump :) I've had to change mine during the hours of 06:00am -12:00pm and 12:00-20:00. I'm usually on a flat rate of 0.88/u/h. For the...

Does an increase in muscle mass mean a higher demand for insulin?

This is great thank you! I've had a look and there's lots of T1 diet plans too which is awesome! Christel is great :) Hey! Thank you for your response :) It's tricky! Body pump (so weight training) spikes my levels, whereas HIIT cycling (such as spinning) sends me low!

Does an increase in muscle mass mean a higher demand for insulin?

Thanks :) I've gained quite a bit of muscle because I do a lot of HIIT workouts- and seems it might of impacted on my requirements.

Does an increase in muscle mass mean a higher demand for insulin?

Hi guys, Another question that I've been meaning to ask. Does anyone know if increasing your muscle mass- therefore a quicker metabolic rate requires more insulin?

Lockdown has caused spike in sugars.. can anyone else help!??

Ah I see! I think sometimes I might be under calculating my carbs- which would explain why I spike so much after breakfast and lunch.. Just need to try and ensure my readings are correct or I'll end up going to high or low. Deffo gonna give the Miaomiao app a go - thank you :)

Lockdown has caused spike in sugars.. can anyone else help!??

I've only been using the Libre for around a month and so far had little issues with the accuracy. Thanks ever so much for the app recommendation. Do you use MySugr app too? I've been advised to give bolus from entering Libre data- and doing it off that. But, obviously if the Libre isn't right-...

Lockdown has caused spike in sugars.. can anyone else help!??

Hey :) I use my phone (I've been using the Libre for about a month now) - so still getting used to it. Sounds good to try these apps . Sometimes I've felt lower than the Libre suggests- sometimes reads 16mmol and I'm thinking hang on.. I don't feel that bad! Yeah, that's a good idea...

Lockdown has caused spike in sugars.. can anyone else help!??

Hey ! Thanks for coming back to me :) Yes very true! Time of the month is actually current, but coming to an end- usually my levels are a bit mad a week prior. I've just tested on my libre, and on my meter also- can see that the libre is reading 10.3 , and my meter is reading 7.9. I know...

Lockdown has caused spike in sugars.. can anyone else help!??

Hey guys- wondering if anyone can relate or recommend what's going on? I've been T1 now for almost 10 years, and am on the accu check insight pump. Obviously, lockdown has changed and altered every ones routines and daily lives. I'm currently working from home- but still doing workouts (...
