    Troubles with T1 control

I ended up eating a cheese omelette but still no change to my BG before bed or when I woke this morning. It just isn't shifting.

    So many challenges.

Alot of anger, denial perhaps not so much. I understand the complications associated with long term hyperglycemia and don't want to experience any of those but for some reason it just isn't enough to keep me in good habits and I just don't know why.

    So many challenges.

I feel like my biggest obstacles are psychological. There's definitely some kind of barrier there. NovoRapid is my bolus and Tresiba my basal. I attended DAFNE and I really enjoyed it and found it really useful but once left to my own devices I just fall into bad habits and have very little...

    Troubles with T1 control

Today is a perfect example of a day in the life of... I woke 10.15am (I sleep ALOT) Checked my BG at 10.23am.... 19.7 So I corrected, 5 units (I used to find that 1 unit would reduce by 3). I check again at 12.36pm, just before lunch... 15.3 Ate lunch but as insulin was still active I only gave...

    Troubles with T1 control

Tresiba is my bolus, 28 units and novorapid is my basal. I was diagnosed 2012 so 11 years now. Pump they won't allow me to have and I have a libre but absolutely despise it.

    So many challenges.

Hi all, me again. Still facing the same challenges, things just seem to have gotten worse. My most recent hba1c is shocking and I feel absolutely dreadful all of the time. I know it's my own doing which is why I'm embarrassed and ashamed but I just feel powerless and don't know how to turn this...

    Troubles with T1 control

My diabetic nurse asked for a referral to the hospital, I had an appointment to see a consultant and they cancelled last minute with no explanation. Said it would be rescheduled but I'm still waiting. I also asked for input from a dietician which my nurse said the consultant could schedule for...

    Troubles with T1 control

Usually fine with basal until recently. Now I'm neither consistent with bolus or basal. I see a diabetic nurse through my GP and she's usually great but I know she's tiring of me now too. I feel like I have nobody to turn to and with numbers this dire I sure could use the help. I know there's a...

    Troubles with T1 control

I've completely lost any control I had and I feel like I've gone somewhere beyond burnout. And even when I try my BG is just uncontrollable and so so high. I feel absolutely dreadful all the time. I just wish I knew what to do to get make things better.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

    Embarrassingly high :( Feeling defeated.

    fatigue

I am Type 1 and find that regardless of whether my BG is 'normal' I cannot stay awake. Unsure if this is diabetes related or whether there is something else going on.

    Eating out

Holidays are a dream, sausages, bacon and eggs at breakfast, cheeses, meats, a little fruit and yogurt doesn't hurt either. Just avoid the high carb like the breads and pasta.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Not really sure as I haven't been tested for a while, think my last was 91 though my control worsened since so it would probably be higher now. However, made some progress over the last week or so and my estimated hba1c is a great motivation to keep going and not fluff it up.

I need a quick bit of advice please.

What happens if you don't inject for your tea out of curiosity? I only ask because when I did the DAFNE course I had a similar experience to yourself and they advised not to inject for tea and if needed correct at the next meal which I found I didn't need to do anyway.
