Any help and advice be much appreciated.

Don't panic and take your time to learn and adjust your lifestyle changes. My hba1c was much higher than yours and managed to bring it down to 41 mmol after 3 months. Also, I just met a colleague of mine at work last night who just diagnosed with T2 with her hba1c 100mmol. We both have...

How often should I have blood tests?

Many thanks, I don't mind to do blood test twice or once a year but just like to see if it is okay to do so. Also, the reason for test is to see if I am I am doing things right or need to improve. I know my body and BG level are much better now than I was diagnosed 18 months ago. Morning BG...

How often should I have blood tests?

I called my GP recently as my last blood test was done in August last year and the reception said the last test was good and I don't need another test or see the nurse untill Aug/Sept this year. My understanding is that for T2 should have a blood test every 6 months once the BS is stable, so...

    T2 HbA1c results

yes, I am still on medication, I tried to ask my GP about this but seems he misunderstood my online request and only reviewed my BG results. It is not easy to get a face-to-face appointment but he does reply to online requests quickly so I will try again.

    T2 HbA1c results

Keep it up. I was 104kg around Easter last year and BMI was 36. Around 85kg when I was diagnosed last Dec and now 75kg BMI 26, aim to lose a few more kg by end of this year. My weight started to go down for a few months last summer to 94kg. However, I did not pay much attention until I...

Should I ask GP to review my medication?

Not easy to get a face to face appointment unless it is urgent but sending a request to the doc online he usually reply by end of next day. Can be quicker if I call and leave a message to the reception. I will ask if my doc happy to reduce the medication. Regarding remission I don't think I...

I was diagnosed last Dec and start taking two 1000mg metformin a day, my hba1c was 135 last November, March blood test 41 and latest test 35. Nurse said I am doing well but did not mention about my medication. Should I book an appointment to see my GP for a review?

    New and confused

It really take time to adjust and took me weeks to overcome when I was diagnosed T2 last December. I was also confused and worried when gp told me my random blood result was bad and my blood suger was 13.9. from that day I am having two metformin tablets a day, low carb diet and regular...
