Keto in the USA: total or net carbs?

Hi folks - I live in the UK and follow a keto diet - 20-30g of carbs per day. I’m in the US for a while and don’t know whether I should be reading net carbs or total carbs on food labels so that I follow the same rules as I have been using in the uk. Can anyone help? Thank you!!

Thank you - I was assuming it was the codeine but perhaps it’s the ibuprofen…

    Painkillers & Low Blood Sugars

I saw some posts on tramadol sending folks low. I might reduce the codeine to see if it helps. Thanks.

Yes, usually if I am unwell at all my bg levels go up. My sensor is showing me constantly below 4, dipping down to 3.

    Painkillers & Low Blood Sugars

Hi - I have sprained my pectoral muscle and am taking codeine and ibuprofen regularly. I have found my blood sugars dipping very low. I usually manage my T2 diabetes with a low carb diet and I’m eating normally so I’m wondering if it’s related to the painkillers. Anyone else found painkillers...

    Libre Freestyle delivery problems?

They seem to be a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Maybe their 14 day free trial offer has been super successful :)

    Libre Freestyle delivery problems?

I ordered on 31st March from Abbot and my order is still showing ‘on hold’ now on 9th April. No live chat available and the phone no just cut me off! My last sensor runs out tomorrow. Are other folks having the same availability problems?

New Type 2 and struggling to understand!

You are in a great place to get help and guidance. This forum was my saviour when I was diagnosed 14 months ago. It’s brilliant that you have a monitor. Test just before your first bite - and then 2 hours afterwards. If your reading has gone up by more than 2, your meal had too many...

    Libre readings between scans

Many thanks. It’s a new sensor and I think it’s recording too low. I have never seen it so low overnight before and I’m type 2, no meds so not experiencing hypos. I went a day without a sensor, just using finger prick tests - that’s where the gap came in.

Thank you!! So there’s nothing to be gained from scanning more frequently! That’s brilliant. Thanks for the info.

    Libre readings between scans

Hi folks. I’m new to Libre - and a big fan. Loving the break from finger pricking. Can you help me understand how Libre gives me readings between scans? I scanned at 10.30pm and again at 09.36am so how is it creating the jaggy graph between those two points?

Thanks Goonergal. I’m not sure how I would know tbh. I have never taken supplements before.
