It wasn't until I found this forum that I controlled my diabetes and not it controlling me. The NHS diet advice - "your body can't handle carbs so we want to eat more carbs" -- always seemed suspect. Learning how to eat low carb on here was a life changing revelation.

I too weaned myself of gliclazide and now control my numbers by eating a low carb diet. Look forward to reading your paper.

It's a more common issue than you think. Viagra didn't do it me. Didn't make me sick - in fact didn't make me anything! I went back to doc and got cialas (Tadalafil) which works just fine.
