    This is exactly what I do using the same meter and I feel exactly the same as you on this, have had many surprises that I would have otherwise been unaware of, for example I now know that hovis wholemeal doesn't spike me in small amounts but kingsmill wholemeal does ? go figure

    it seems to be generally accepted that dropping bodyfat helps lower blood sugar levels ? would it also be true that increasing your lean muscle mass has a benefit too ? does the increased muscle mass enable your body to use more of any sugar present in your blood ? or is there a lot more to it...

    just read through my original post and realise that i sound like i'm moaning about being 5.5% to anyone really struggling to reduce their blood sugar levels, i apologise, i don't mean i'm unhappy at 5.5% it's just that we're all on our own journey with our own goals thanks
