9.4 eek. Had glass of red wine and some peanuts before I went to be and a bad nights sleep. Forgot to take my metformin with my dinner. Burger and stir fry salad Pretty sedantry day too yesterday. Cut back on the carbs the last three weeks.
last three days between 9 and 10 in the morning. :dead: I haven't been measuring for ages so its probably been worse.
I started week one of the low carb programme here.
@Liam1955 Thanks for the encouragement , I'm going to give the ten week program here a try. There seems to be a consensus here that low carb is the way to go. First I've got to kick my chocolate addiction. I'm going cold turkey this week.
Back again. I well and truly fell of the wagon for the two years. A bit despondent but I'll have to get over it. BG level 9.0 . Have put on 10 kilos in the last years. Feeling a bit sorry for myself. Going to try the 10 week low carb program. Wish me luck.
I dunno it seems to be counter productive to charge people for something that is generally accepted as being good for your long term health. I dont know about the NHS as I live in the republic of Ireland so I have to pay for my GP/Nurse visits cos i earn more than subsistance. Having said...
Hi jeangoo , welcome . Have a good look at the post Daisy replied with there's a lot of great information there in one post . Its a really good starting point. Its a bit of a shock but type 2 diabetes is manageable. Its a great place to ask questions or even have a bit of a rant if you need it.

@michealD got my Hba1c this week 45 so still on metformin but working towards sufficient control to come off it. Am delighted with myself, getting things under control.
@claymic, if you have been taking care yourself it will come down. Sometimes the stress of worrying about it can be worse than the results. I was the same a a month ago and it dropped down to "normal" range. Felt a bit silly afterwards myself but the fact you are watching this closely...
There are millions of diabetics that have children. Talk to your wife and your doctor about your concerns. Mostly talk to your wife, its easy to get overwhelmed after diagnosis and fear the worst. Theres life a after diagnosis and for many of us its pretty good.
