My waking BS reading went from 10.9 on waking to 12.9 an hour later before breakfast
My Hba1C recently was 71 the one before was 51..... due it seems to infections in recent weeks.
I am unclear about whether I am producing enough insulin or not... I thinkI am producing as can manage...
Diet is not really the issue as such..... the infection is raising my BS by several numbers.
I have been low-carb for years... but sadly my body is not creating enough insulin.
Exercise will lower it to some degree.
But i am waking with readings around 13......
Has any one any experience of these?
My diabetes specialist practitioner has come up with this possibility as an alternative to insulin as I am on maximum glyclazide and metformin.
I mentioned on another thread that the problem is i am getting infections and my BS readings are going...
Thank you.. Problem is it seems to run high with the infection.
I think the only way ican manage diet wise is to go virtually no carb at times like this.. Can be very challenging.
Thank you... I was wondering... I think moving across to insulin is considered significant... But for me occasional use would be so helpful... I don't think there afe any other meds i could take.
