How To Reverse Insulin Resistance Through Diet, Exercise, & Sleep | Dr. Ben Bikman

It is almost 3hrs long, I'm about half an hour in at the moment. Think it's interesting enough to share How To Reverse Insulin Resistance Through Diet, Exercise, & Sleep | Dr. Ben Bikman Articles I saved from the interview: Lipid-induced insulin resistance mediated by the proinflammatory...

    Vitamin D

Think I have saved something scientific about it in a folder on my PC at home. This is close but not quite what I'm looking for: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/vitamin-d-side-effects#signs-and-symptoms For me personally, I take the recommended Vitamin D dose because it improves my mental...

    Covid?

It took me a while to get used to metformin, I'm still having some side effects (bloating for instance). I'm on Lisinopril for elevated BP. I've had had corona twice but both times where before I was diagnosed as T2, the BP values I stored show a slight increase for a week or so.

    Vitamin D

If you are starting to feel lethargic on vitamin D you could very well be overdosing.

    Whey Protein lowering my BG

Thanks for this article, my glucose was already high this morning (late night snacking yesterday). I started with 10.5 before breakfast & 2 hrs later I'm at 10.2. YMMV; This is the second day I've start the day with a shake instead of the what the dietician advised (yoghurt/fruit/low carb granola)

    Whey Protein lowering my BG

Before breakfast, a sip of water to take my methformin + astma meds. Minutes after I had the mentioned whey shake. Planning to repeat this for the next couple of days Edit: Might be interesting to see if the astma medication influences my glucose values

    Whey Protein lowering my BG

I always took 1 scoop of Myprotein Impact Isolate Whey with a teaspoon of citrulline. As mentioned elsewhere my bodyweight is rising after making diet changes after being diagnosed. I'm going back to what I used to do just to do for breakfast. Way to early to say anything about it but before...

    Whey protein

It has a bit of a misleading title but there are more topics about it: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/diabetes-and-brain-function.208743/ Your mileage my vary, think I'm going to test the effect on my body. So far what my dietician gave me isn't working as expected :)

    Metformine, switching brands

Had a rough day yesterday due to allergies; Realised this morning I took a double dose of lisinopril for my blood presure instead of something for my allergies. Checking boxes I noticed not only the lisinopril brand changed but just about everything I take switched brands... Are there any...

    Case for Pens etc

You could look on Makerworld (can't post the link, the site keeps telling me it's spammy) for something that looks suitable? But it needs a 3D Printer, or a friend with one :)

Total hysterectomy on Monday - so anxious

To me the biggest invention since sliced bread are my noice canceling headphones. They really me help a lot with distractions and annoying sounds :) Take care and I hope you can leave soon!

    Intro

@JoKalsbeek I know, my sister in-law works at the first aid department in a Dutch hospital. Diabetes is not her field but she also mentioned other medication. I guess we (T2D's) all start with metformin and move to what suits us best. At least that's what I'm hoping for. For now I'm aiming to...

    Intro

I've been diagnosed T2 on 31dec last year; Postphoned a regular checkup to the last minute :) When your doctor calls you the same day you can kind of guess that there's something wrong. I "scored" a 16.2... Week later after in another test HbA1c at 83. I've started taking metformine and I...
